By submitting entries and ticking the acceptance box, you (the Studio Owner/Teacher/Authorised Representative) confirm and agree to the following:
You confirm that you are duly authorised to enter dancers into the Showstopper Dance Festival of Champions and that you have obtained all necessary permissions and consents from the dancers and/or their parents or legal guardians, including their agreement to be bound by this Indemnity & Release Agreement.
You acknowledge that participation in dance activities involves inherent risks, including the risk of injury. You confirm that all participants are voluntarily taking part and that these risks are understood and accepted.
On behalf of your studio, dancers, and their parents/guardians, you hereby release and hold harmless Showstopper, its affiliates, organisers, staff and representatives from any and all claims for injury, loss or damage arising from participation in the event.
You agree to indemnify and hold the organisers harmless from any claims, actions or legal proceedings brought by any participant, parent/guardian or third party arising from participation in the event.
You confirm that all dancers entered are physically fit to participate and that the studio/parents are responsible for any medical treatment and associated costs.
This agreement is binding on your studio, its dancers, and their parents/guardians. It is governed by the laws of South Africa.
By ticking the acceptance box and submitting entries, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to this Indemnity & Release Agreement in full.
You confirm that you have obtained all necessary consent from dancers and/or their parents or legal guardians for the collection, processing, storage and sharing of personal information for purposes related to event administration, communication and results publication, in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
You further confirm that consent has been obtained for Showstopper to photograph, record and publish images and video footage of participants for promotional, marketing, social media and related purposes, in any format or media, without compensation, and that such consent includes the use of the participant’s name, likeness and performance.
